Many residents now at Windsor Gardens experienced their independent living becoming more challenging. They knew they needed help but were just not sure which care level would best meet their needs. So Windsor Gardens designed a Personal Care Assessment to help people better decide.
Assisted Living at Windsor Gardens is much like living in any apartment one could choose. But here, help is given in achieving some daily living tasks, and meals are chef-prepared every day. Resident safety and comfort are primary and all residents have an individual emergency response call system to reach staff who are present 24-hours a day. Many other services and opportunities are available to Windsor Gardens residents in Assisted Living.
Personal Care and Memory Care is a special unit where staff assist with personal tasks when residents need more help. Each resident’s Care Plan, designed by the resident, the resident’s family and Windsor Gardens’ professional staff, determines when this level of care is necessary. Residents may move into this unit on a temporary basis or permanently. The Gardens is a secure unit for memory-impaired residents and provides specially trained staff.
The Skilled Nursing unit provides for residents who need the most assistance and skilled care, on a temporary basis – perhaps because of a fall or surgery – or a permanent basis. Residents and their families find that nurses and special staff here are strong advocates for their care and comfort, especially their emotional care throughout their living and dying process.
